"Transatlantic Quartet - Live in Basel" coming in February!
My next (sixth) album as a bandleader - "TRANSATLANTIC QUARTET - LIVE IN BASEL" - will officially be released on FEBRUARY 14, 2012 on my Hate Laugh Music label. It's a recording of my Transatlantic Quartet (with Danish guitarist Mikkel Ploug, Irish electric bassist Simon Jermyn, and Canadian drummer Kevin Brow) from a show we did in Basel that was recorded by Swiss public radio.

I'll be celebrating the album's release with a concert on Saturday, February 11 at Cornelia Street Cafe, as well as Jan 20/21 in New England. Mark your CALENDAR!

WINTER JAZZFEST & NEW STUDIO RECORDING (w/ IYER, OPSVIK, SOREY)
I've got some concerts in early 2012 that I'm really excited about. I'll be playing at the WINTER JAZZFEST (NYC) on January 6 (at Kenny's Castaways) with a two-drummer / two-alto band featuring JOHN HOLLENBECK, CHES SMITH, OSCAR NORIEGA, SIMON JERMYN and myself. We'll be playing my and Simon's compositions - should be great!

I'll also be performing (2/11 - Cornelia Street Cafe, NYC) and recording (2/13 - Systems Two Studios, Brooklyn) with a new project featuring VIJAY IYER, EIVIND OPSVIK, and TYSHAWN SOREY. I'm REALLY excited about this project, and I've been working on the music (featuring my compositions and my re-configurations of songs by Nirvana, Leonard Cohen, Guns N' Roses, etc.) extensively.

I'll also be playing at Korzo (1/10) and SEEDS (1/25) in Brooklyn soon, and I'll be touring Europe with my Transatlantic Quartet from March 30 to April 11. Check out my CALENDAR page for details!
