"Transatlantic Quartet - Live in Basel" out on 2/14 - release concert 2/11!
My next (sixth) album as a bandleader - "TRANSATLANTIC QUARTET - LIVE IN BASEL" - will officially be released on FEBRUARY 7, 2012 on my Hate Laugh Music label. It's a recording of my Transatlantic Quartet (with Danish guitarist Mikkel Ploug, Irish electric bassist Simon Jermyn, and Canadian drummer Kevin Brow) from a show we did in Basel that was recorded by Swiss public radio.

I'll be celebrating the album's release with a concert on Saturday, February 11 at Cornelia Street Cafe. The lineup will actually be my new Reactance Quartet, featuring VIJAY IYER on piano, EIVIND OPSVIK on bass, and TYSHAWN SOREY on drums. I'm REALLY excited about this project, which includes my compositions as well as my re-configurations of songs by Nirvana, Leonard Cohen, Guns N' Roses, Dirty Projectors, and Glen Campbell. Mark your CALENDAR!
